This is the latest Squashfs 3.4 patch for 2.6.27-rc4-next that I have reworked to adapt it to newer kernels. I needed this because I have some bootable USB sticks which share a common Squashfs root for all 2.6 kernels and I still need to boot older kernels. The main change consists in renaming the FS to "squashfs3" instead of "squashfs" so that it can coexist with the mainlined squashfs version 4 on kernels >= 2.6.29.
The patch is provided for 2.6.27 and 2.6.32, though the 2.6.32 patch still applies to 2.6.35.
Note that this patch still supports Squashfs version 2 filesystems, so that by applying it to a kernel >= 2.6.29, you'll get full support for filesystems in versions 2, 3 and 4.
